![]() ![]() It was an overall excellent, five-star experience and I will definitely go back again.maybe for dinner so that I can sample their salmon or chicken dinner. The staff were totally fine with us staying at the table for a full hour after we had finished our lunch, and they faithfully filled our water glasses and encouraged us to stay for as long as we liked. We finished our meal with a perfect latte. We both thought that the chef was extremely gifted for his taste and texture combinations - it was so good! We were too full for dessert, but they looked delicious - and are custom designed and made by a local cake bakery. The sandwich came with shoestring fries, which were perfectly done. I ordered the chicken panino sandwich ($17) and it was stellar - freshly roasted, tender chicken pieces mixed with a brown butter aioli, creamy brie, and cider-marinated onions. My friend ordered Bruschetta - she was able to order three different kinds from a choice of about six (about $15 for all three), and she loved them all.particularly the ricotta/fig and mushroom/herbed goat cheese selections. Service was great and very friendly, from start to end. The whole atmosphere was modern and comfortable. The views from the tables at the far end of the restaurant overlook the river.lovely view. We were immediately impressed by the atmosphere of Cibo's - somewhat industrial looking (exterior and interior) but warmed by the beautiful, original brick walls and simple accents in browns and greens. The restaurant is downtown Winnipeg, on a pretty street, tucked behind a small boutique hotel. ![]() This chain peaked 8 years ago, now they are serving terrible food at inflated prices.įirst review I’ve ever written, that’s how bad it was.A friend and I went to Cibo's for lunch was a first time for both of us. Never again! I’d like to say this was a one-off but our last experience there was bad too. ![]() When you have to stop at McDonald’s after leaving an overpriced incredibly crappy dinner, the establishment should be ashamed of itself. Pizza and pasta, not complicated but completely f’d up. Daughter’s pasta dish that was supposed to be changed to non-spicy red sauce (no problem according to the server!) was so spicy it was inedible. Son’s pepperoni pizza was burnt and had no pepperoni on it. When my wife tried it she asked how I was possibly eating it, it was so bad. Mine was as ordered, except for the super severe over seasoning. Food took an extraordinary amount of time and when it arrived 3 of the 4 orders were messed up.
